Rental equipment and fees

Beginner members may rent an assigned set of fencing gear to take home and bring to each class.

The rental package includes a fencing mask, jacket, underarm protector, glove, chest protector as needed, and carry bag. Weapons and body cords remain at the club for use during class.

Rental costs $15 per month, plus a $100 refundable security deposit collected when the equipment is issued. Rental charges renew monthly until the rental is canceled and the equipment is returned.

Ask a coach to get fitted and assigned a rental kit. Then accept the agreement and pay through Equipment Rental in the member portal. The initial $115 payment covers the $100 refundable deposit and first $15 rental month. Monthly renewals begin one month after activation.

Caring for your equipment

Please check your equipment when you receive it and report any missing items, fit issues, or existing damage within seven days. Report any safety concerns immediately and stop using the affected item until a coach has inspected it.

Keep your equipment clean and dry, follow the club’s care instructions, and bring your complete kit to every class. Do not machine-wash the mask.

Normal wear is included in the rental fee. Renters are responsible for equipment that is lost, stolen, not returned, or damaged beyond normal wear. Repair or replacement costs may be deducted from the deposit. Any costs exceeding the deposit remain the renter’s responsibility.

Canceling and returning your rental

1. Email info@allezfencingclub.com to request cancellation.
2. Wash washable clothing according to its care instructions and dry it completely. Do not machine-wash the mask.
3. Return the complete kit in its carry bag, labeled with the student’s name, directly to a coach.

Equipment must be returned within 10 days of rental cancellation or the end of club membership, whichever comes first. Monthly rental charges stop when the complete kit is returned or the 10-day return period expires.

The deposit will be refunded after the returned equipment is inspected, less any applicable cleaning, repair, or replacement charges. Unwashed clothing is subject to a $20 cleaning fee.

If equipment is not returned within 10 days, the deposit will be applied toward its replacement cost. Any remaining replacement balance is the renter’s responsibility. Rental payments do not count toward purchasing the equipment.

For students under 18, a parent or guardian must accept this policy and is responsible for rental charges and the issued equipment.
